America in divided on the use of masks. The news suggests that there are strong political stances on this. Here in Los Angeles it seems like usage is around 50%. What informs the perspective of those who don them vs. those who don't? In this video I'll share my rational for their use. I'm curious about the rational of those in the other camp. Is there a correlation between non-use and the breakdown of community in our country, or are people on both sides of the issue coming from altruism?

Thank you for your feedback. I also feel we’ve lose a sense of community. Community means you care about others, and their well-being, and will help in the time of need. During this time we must remember the importance of unity. I wear a mask because I don’t want to be responsible for unknowingly giving someone the virus. Let’s protect each other! Great video!

Jonathan, You should really stop getting your news from mainstream media. They are all owned by the same handful of corporations. I only wear the mask in stores because it's mandated. There is no evidence that masks will reduce the spread of viral infections. The viral particles are orders of magnitude SMALLER than the pores in the masks/fabric. There are no data controlled trials that demonstrate the effectiveness of masks. The mask mandates and compliance didn't help the Philippines! There is no evidence of asymptomatic spread. If the masks prevent viral particles from getting out, then they should prevent them from getting in. Therefore, it should not bother you if someone doesn't wear a mask. When you wear masks for extended periods of time, you are inhaling more of your CO2, viruses, and bacteria. Furthermore, you are far more likely to get the virus from those that you live with/work with than strangers that you pass by on the street or people that you encounter for a few seconds. Also, UV radiation destroys DNA and RNA. The Wuhan corona virus is an RNA virus.
